The selectmen held the first of their two meetings on Wednesday, June 12. Among the items discussed was the repair of the outside of town hall. The work will be done by Buzz Coleman’s person. On the ongoing broadband issue of bringing broadband to the North Country, selectman Rick Hiland reported that there will be a meeting at town hall on June 24. These meetings are open to all. Most of the towns in Carroll County are interested in this project and will be represented at the upcoming meeting.

Hiland reported that the planning board met on Monday and that they are working on a site plan review item. Selectman Cathy Ryan noted that the conservation commission held an informational meeting. The age-friendly steering committee (part of the Gibson Center/Memorial Hospital program) is working on the trails that were damaged during the winter. The commission is looking for funding for the projects.
