Fernan Roger Butterfield

 

2-22-17-roger-butterfieldFernan Roger Butterfield, 87, passed away on Feb. 9, 2017, with grace in the midst of a glorious New England nor'easter after complications from pneumonia at Memorial Hospital in North Conway. He was the son of Edna Thompson and Carroll M. Butterfield.

Lacking reliable transportation from Tamworth to complete high school, he jumped at the chance when guiding hands intervened allowing him to live and work at the Presidential Inn in Conway. Upon graduation from Kennett in 1948 undaunted and anxious to see the world he entered the Navy.
