Laurea L. (James) Nugent, 65, of Hale's Location and Boynton Beach, Fla., died March 17, 2008. Born July 25, 1942 in Malden, Mass, to Mary Murray and Henry James, she graduated from Malden High School in 1960 and graduated from Mt. Auburn School of Nursing in 1963. She was a former resident of Reading, Mass. for 30 years and worked as a nurse practitioner for many years. She was the beloved wife of James J. Nugent and devoted mother of James L. Nugent, Jr. and his wife Jennifer, of West Roxbury, Mass., David R. Nugent and his wife Michelle and Christopher J, Nugent and his wife Susan, all of Reading, Mass. She was the cherished sister of Eleanor Adorn and Dennis James, both of Malden, Mass., Richard James of Boynton Beach, Fla. and Vicki Leo of Brookfield. Also the loving grandmother of eight grandchildren and one granddaughter.The funeral is at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home at 25 Sanborn Street (corner of Woborn Street) in Reading, Mass. on Friday, March 21 at 9 a.m. The service will be followed by a blessing at St. Athanasius Church at 300 Haverhill Street in Reading, Mass. at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. The funeral home visiting hours are Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. The burial will be private.
