MADISON — Carroll County 4-H is looking for adult volunteers. 4-H is one of the largest youth organizations in the U.S., and programs can be found in every county, in every state, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

If you have a hobby or passion you would be willing to teach such as sewing, cooking, woodworking, or raising pigs, ect., and enjoy planning programs and lessons to teach these valuable skills to children, then you would be an excellent candidate. The minimum age required in order to apply as a 4-H adult volunteer is 19 years old, and every applicant must pass a screening process which includes a background check. The goal of 4-H is to teach youth life skills in areas such as agriculture, STEM, and civic engagement through the means of hands-on projects and activities. Other skills such as resume writing and service work are also offered through the 4-H program.
