Bridgton Highlands hosted the Joe Wikler Memorial Mixed Doubles Tournament on Saturday, July 11. The event featured a 16-team field for a wonderful day of tennis dedicated to the memory of Joe Wikler, a long-time member known for his crafty spins and passion for the sport. A commemorative plaque for Joe is located at the entrance of court #4.

In the main draw, David Chaffee and Maya Milic advanced past Rick Siegrist and Phoebe Smith in a close second-round match, carrying that momentum into the finals. There, they faced Jose Azel and Anna Romer, who had battled past Parker Normann and Kristen Mae 8-6. Dave and Maya relied on their consistent play to secure the tournament victory in a well-contested 8-5 final match.
