Prince Edward Island fiddling sensation Cynthia MacLeod returns to West Paris. Traditional East Coast music ambassador promises a foot-stomping night of Celtic jigs, reels, and authentic Island culture
WEST PARIS — Acclaimed Prince Edward Island fiddler and traditional music ambassador Cynthia MacLeod is bringing her signature high-energy performance style to North Paris Homestead in West Paris on Thursday, Sept. 17. Known for her mesmerizing, fast-paced technique and charismatic stage presence, MacLeod promises an unforgettable evening of high-voltage East Coast music, authentic Scottish-highland-influenced fiddle sets, and storytelling. The performance will begin at 7 p.m.
For more than two decades, Cynthia MacLeod has carved out a distinct style of Cape Breton-inspired fiddling that deeply embraces her local Prince Edward Island roots. Her performances transcend a typical concert, delivering a lively, interactive Canadian East Coast kitchen party experience. Accompanying her on this tour is longtime collaborator and renowned guitarist Gordon Belsher, adding depth to a sparkling repertoire that shifts seamlessly from down-home jigs and strathspeys to fiery, foot-stomping reels.
