Robert Franz

Robert “Dan” Daniel Franz, 75, of Bridgton passed away peacefully at home on January 25, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on January 16, 1951, to Judith and Richard Blue. Dan was later adopted by John Franz.

Dan made his way to New England in 1986 and built a home in Conway, N.H., where he founded the HVAC company American Air Systems. He was an inventor whose creations included a glove-drying system used by the NHL, and a locally sold fishing aid known as the Dan-dy Dipper.
