Jeffrey Roberts, 86, of Bluffton, S.C., passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, at home as he had wished. He was surrounded by love, the classical music he adored, and in the company of Ted Haslam, his partner and best friend for the last 10 years.

Jeffrey was born on March 7, 1939, in Springfield, Miss., the only son of Maurice and Nora Roberts. He is survived by his sister, Ann, of Cape Fair, Miss., and her daughter Lori and her family. Jeffrey was predeceased by his sister, Jane, and his dear wife of 44 years, Bette Jean (nee Blaney) whom he described as the love of his life. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
