CASCO — John “Scott” Hayward, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, born on Sept. 16, 1948, passed away on March 20, 2026, leaving behind a life well and fully lived.

From an early age, Scott was drawn to the outdoors. He loved fly fishing, camping, biking, and hunting, and could rarely resist a chance to get out on the dance floor. But skiing was something else entirely — it was his true calling. As a Level II PSIA instructor at Pleasant Mountain and Sunday River, he spent years sharing that passion with others. The slopes were where he felt most at home.
