AUBURN — Berdice I. Whitney, 80, of Harrison passed away on Friday, March 27, at Andwell Hospice House in Auburn.

She was born in Bridgton, January 5, 1946, the daughter of Dennis and Irene Bell Chadbourne. Berdice graduated from Bridgton High School and business school in Portland. She worked as a secretary at Dunn and Bradstreet, and as a transcriptionist at Bridgton Hospital. She worked as a secretary to the Athletic Director and Guidance Department at Lake Region High School. After retirement in 1997, she traveled by motorhome all over the U.S. and Canada, she enjoyed wintering two years in Arizona and seven years in Florida.
