I read with interest Dawn De Busk’s piece titled, “Water Sources Dry Up” in the Sept. 4 edition and want to respond with some comments and questions.

Thank you, Laurie, for setting the record straight. Water is a precious natural resource and one that we need to protect - not allow it to be taken and sold to the highest bidder for profit. And for Fryeburg to tell residents that they'll drop off a case of water if their well runs dry is insulting. As if bottled water is a substitute for a functioning water supply.
