Since the very successful DAR American Experience Exhibit last April at the 1869 Methodist Church Museum at 214 Main Street, the Bridgton Historical Society staff and contractors have been plugging away at the long list of projects in anticipation of their opening July 3, 2026. The need for funding is great and there are many ways to contribute to this wonderful project.

Stained-glass windows designed by Alfred Schroff were installed in the church around 1915. All the stunning windows were paid for by Bridgton families at that time and then adopted by local families recently for much-needed repairs. Included in the process were new full glass storm windows on the outside, allowing the stained-glass windows to be removed, repaired and re-installed. Ten of the 12 breathtaking windows have been restored.
