Team Long Run, a Maine-based 501 (3)(c) non-profit was recognized by Community Concepts, Inc. as the “Champion for Children and Families” at the Paul Gauvreau Legacy Foundation Dinner on Thursday in Lewiston.
Team Long Run was singled out for its continuing work in early literacy and active play with kids in Maine who face social and economic challenges to early academic success. More specifically, TLR was honored for its support of Head Start, and ongoing collaborative educational programs with 14 Head Start Early Childhood Centers in Maine.
