SOUTH PARIS — University of Maine Cooperative Extension with McLaughlin Garden and Homestead will host a native seed sowing workshop on Tuesday, Dec. 9, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Oxford County Extension office, 9 Olson Road, South Paris.

Winter may not be the first season that comes to mind for seed sowing, but the chillier months are the perfect time to start many native plants from seed. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basics of successful native seed starting and sow their own seeds to take home.
