NORWAY — For 50 years, Fare Share Food Cooperative has been part of the fabric of the Norway community, providing local residents with a place to shop, gather, and support the cooperative tradition of community ownership. To celebrate this milestone, the co-op’s history has been chronicled by local author, poet, and longtime Fare Share member/owner Lisa Moore in her manuscript, OurStory.
Moore’s manuscript, along with documents, photographs, memories, and voices from Fare Share’s history, will be on display at the Matolcsy Art Center, 480 Main Street in Norway, throughout the month of October. The exhibit offers an opportunity to look back at the people, ideas, challenges, and accomplishments that have shaped Fare Share over five decades.
