BERLIN — The launch of the city’s participation in the Community Powered Coalition of New Hampshire is on hold, because of the negligible electric-bill savings in the current volatile energy market.

Andrew Hatch, outreach coordinator for the coalition, said the rate per kilowatt hour was coming in at 8.9 cents, a miniscule amount of savings when compared to the default electric rate from Eversource of 8.929 cents per kwh.
