BERLIN — Berlin High School welcomed its newest alumni Friday afternoon with 80 graduates comprising the class of 2026, in a ceremony whose addresses included messages of humility, moxie and good car washes.

Principal Andy Rancloes, whose daughter Emma Rancloes graduated, delivered one of those messages. He spoke to the audience of the mixed emotions he felt as a parent with his daughter graduating and leaving for college. And, with her classmates moving on as well, many of whom were part of the last class he taught before becoming principal.
