To the editor:

Dear President Trump, I respectfully request that you draft and sign an executive order, effective immediately, that states, whenever the federal government is “shut down” that all members of Congress and their staff shall not receive salaries and benefits until the government is again open for business. The order should also state that salaries and benefits shall not be retroactive for Congress or their staff members once the government shutdown has been lifted. Thank you for your consideration. God Bless America!
