GORHAM — Town officials, including Fire Chief Phil Cloutier, continued to discuss how to handle hospital transfers at the selectmen's Sept. 14 meeting.

A hospital transfer is when a patient is moved from one health-care setting to another. It can involve the use of ambulances, but an ambulance is not always available, nor is it always cost-efficient.
