As the COVID-19 crisis continues with no end in sight, the unemployment rate has reached a staggering 20 percent, with upwards of 33 million Americans out of a job and left wondering how they’re going to put groceries on the table. Adding in the third of renters who are unable to make their April rent, this is shaping up to be the worst year for American workers in modern history.
