Was there ever a Fort Wentworth and, if so, where was it?

The Potters, of Groveton, have a long family history that tells of the construction of Fort Wentworth in 1755 by Capt. Robert Rogers, of Rogers Rangers fame, as ordered by Gov. Benning Wentworth.
