BERLIN — Programs locally and statewide to help a person, especially a young person, avoid addiction and make sound choices are becoming better known among those attending meetings of the Berlin Community Prevention Coalition.

Since January, the coalition has met once a month. Plans call for an application for the Drug-Free Communities Support Program Grant to be completed. Coalition members include law enforcement, educators, city staff and health-care professionals.
