CONCORD — New Hampshire’s preliminary seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for March 2026 was 3.1 percent. This was a decrease of 0.1 percentage point from the February rate, which remained at 3.2 percent after revision. The March 2025 seasonally adjusted rate was 3.2 percent.
Seasonally adjusted estimates for March 2026 placed the number of employed residents at 752,880, an increase of 620 from the previous month and an increase of 2,560 from March 2025. The number of unemployed residents decreased by 600 over-the-month to 24,350. This was 110 fewer unemployed than in March 2025. From February 2026 to March 2026, the total labor force increased by 20 to 777,230. This was an increase of 2,450 New Hampshire residents from March 2025.
