BERLIN — A little bit of unique real estate known as the Willard Street Little Free Pantry gives new meaning to the term curb appeal. And, it gives new meaning to how people in a community can help each other in steady, quiet ways. The Willard Street Little Free Pantry stands outside of 511 Willard St., near the Little Free Library, which also is outside that home.

The concept of little free pantries where people could take what they needed and give back what they could is spreading across the country, just as little free libraries have.
