GROVETON — A renewable energy pilot project that would produce hydrogen to generate cheap power for companies on the former Groveton mill site has earned the enthusiastic support of town officials.

Q Hydrogen Solutions of Park City, Utah, would purchase the former Wausau co-generation building from mill site owner Bob Chapman and retrofit the original building and underground pipes for water intake from the Upper Ammonoosuc River.
