RANDOLPH — Nine Beaver Deceivers have been installed on beaver ponds located on the Presidential Rail Trail in the last several weeks, thanks to the combined efforts of both volunteers and Clint Savage, District Supervisor of the state Bureau of Trails.

Volunteer Marianne Borowski, who created and has promoted the Cross New Hampshire Adventure Trail — an 83-mile-long bicycle route from Woodsville to Bethel, Maine — spent $12,500 that biking enthusiasts and regular PRT users donated for trail improvements so that five Beaver Deceivers could be installed on the PRT: 1 in Randolph and four in Jefferson.
