BERLIN — The new Berlin superintendent of schools is no stranger to Berlin school system, having served here as a teacher, department chair, elementary school principal, and currently is the high school assistant principal and director of the Career and Technical Center.

The school board voted unanimously to approve hiring Julie King as the new superintendent. She will take over on July 1 from Corinne Cascadden, who is retiring after 10 years as superintendent and more than four decades in education in Berlin.
