1. Briefly tell us about yourself and your background. I was born in Berlin, raised on the East side and educated in local schools. James River Corporation hired me to manage the Berlin Mills Railway Inc., which I did for 16 years, until Crown Vantage sold the operation to the St. Lawrence & Atlantic RR. Later, the City of Berlin hired me as a lab technician into the Berlin Wastewater Treatment Plant, from which I promoted to supervisor, retiring in March of this year.
2. Why are you running for state representative? Now retired, I have time to dedicate to community and state activities. My career exposed me to the workings of N.H. Department of Environmental Services and N.H. Department of Transportation, and I want to apply my knowledge and work experiences to the state’s problems and initiatives in support of Berlin and the North Country.
