DUMMER — The N.H. Executive Council last week approved a $4.3 million contract to reconstruct a 1.3 mile stretch of Route 16 between Route 110A and Dummer Pond Road. Construction will get underway this year, with completion scheduled for 2020.

The state Department of Transportation contract was awarded to J.P. Sicard, Inc., of Barton, Vt., the low bidder among seven firms that submitted bids.
