BERLIN — The city council and mayor are urging residents to continue social distancing and not to get complacent because Coos County has registered only two positive tests for COVID-19.

In his update on COVID-19 to the council at Monday’s meeting, City Manager James Wheeler said he believes the city is as prepared as it can be for a surge in coronavirus cases to reach the Androscoggin Valley.
