· Aug. 2, 2018 — State Senator Jeffrey Woodburn, of Whitefield, arrested on nine Class A misdemeanor counts of simple assault, domestic violence, criminal mischief, and criminal trespass. The alleged victim is his then-fiancé Emily Jacobs, who was a candidate for Coos County Treasurer.

· November 2018 — Woodburn loses race for re-election.
