BERLIN — For more than four decades, the Sylvia Evans Citizenship Award has served as one of the North Country’s most meaningful traditions — recognizing the extraordinary and often unrecognized contributions that women make throughout our region.

The award is presented annually to a woman in the community who has made an outstanding contribution to the well-being of women and families in the North Country. The selection is made by the board of directors of Coos County Family Health Services.
