LANCASTER -- The county delegation Friday accepted the resignation of County Attorney Robert Mekeel and decided to leave the position vacant to await today’s election results.

Mekeel submitted his resignation last month, effective Nov. 7. He had chosen not to run for re-election and said he felt it was time for him to move on.
