After much deliberation at their Monday meeting at city hall, the Berlin City Council approved a sewer rate at $7.01 per 100 cubic feet. The fee represents an increase of 5.7 percent, according to Berlin City Manager Pat MacQueen.

MacQueen noted that the rate would still be very much in line with state averages and that for a series of years there has been little or no increase.
