Laura Lee Fortin, age 50, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine.

She was born Dec. 11, 1968 in Berlin, N.H., to Berttina and Maurice Fortin. She was one of six siblings, with three brothers and two sisters.

She was a loving mother and a warm, caring woman. She loved to go for walks and was always laughing; she had such an infectious laugh that you could identify it from across the room. She loved to be around her family and friends whenever she could.

Laura was pre-deceased by her fiance Chris Maltais, her father Maurice Fortin and her mother Berttina Fortin, to whom she was very close.

She is survived by her two sons Eric and Casey Costella; their father Eddie Costella; one grandson Jaxson Costella; two sisters Liza Perry and husband Ronald, Cindy Hawkins; three brothers Valney Fortin and wife Nancy, Mark Fortin and lifelong friend Donna Our, Jonathan Fortin and his partner Cindy Bisson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Laura will be missed immensely, and will always be remembered with love by those who were blessed by her. Now she is safe and at peace with her mother. Funeral services will be held at a later date.
