Obituary: Glenna Maxine (Gould) Stiles

Glenna Maxine (Gould) Stiles, 95, of Milan, N.H., passed away peacefully in her son’s home on Thursday, March 5, 2020, following a lengthy period of failing health. She was born in Danforth, Maine, on Jan. 16, 1925, the daughter of the late Byron Archie and Myrtle Frances (Harris) Gould, and resided in Milan most of her life. She enjoyed her home, trips to Lewiston and Auburn to go shopping, and simple home cooked meals. Above all, she loved her family. Glenna was a member of the First Baptist Church in Berlin, N.H.

Members of her family include her daughter Sherry Merrow and husband John of Jefferson; her son Rev. Dean Stiles and wife Emilie of Berlin; six grandchildren Kelly and fiancé Mike, Dawn and husband Jeff, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Eliza, and Samuel; two great grandchildren Brianna and Sage; a sister-in-law Carol Gould of Danforth, Maine; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Alger Stiles in 2005; her two brothers Byron Gould and Wilfred Gould; her five sisters Alta Campbell, Barbara Bickford, Christina Dwyer, Waldina Gould, and Elizabeth Boardman.
