Andrew "Andy" Porter, III,

Andrew "Andy" Porter, III, 81, of Gorham, N.H., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, at the Morrison Nursing Home with family by his side after a battle with cancer. He was born on Sept. 21, 1944, in Island Falls, Maine, the son of the late Richard W. Sr. and Emma (McGraw) Porter.

For many years, Andrew was employed by the Maine State Police, where he rose through the ranks and served as Detective Corporal in Troop F, Aroostook County, as well as Criminal Investigative Division 3. As a detective, Andrew worked on and solved many high-level cases that led to justice for victims.
