BERLIN — Nineteen new recreational vehicle camping sites with electrical hook ups and other amenities were recently officially welcomed into an enhanced state park system, part of Jericho Mountain State Park’s upgrades.

As earlier reported by the Sun in winter 2023, the state received $22.6 million in American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 funding to make needed improvements to the park system’s aging infrastructure. The state allocated $7.7 million of the funding to improving its campgrounds. Jericho Mountain State Park was one of two state campgrounds selected for upgrades along with Pawtuckaway State Park in southeast New Hampshire.
