GROVETON — UNH Cooperative Extension will offer a free workshop and demonstration on pruning old apple trees with Food & Agriculture field specialist Nick Rowley, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 2 in Groveton.

The Cider Mill, situated at the junction of Lost Nation Road and Herman Savage Road, is hosting the workshop, which will focus on pruning mature apple trees that have not been pruned for some time, which will be helpful to anyone trying to renovate older trees. Participants should bring pruning saws and clippers if they can, although a limited number of tools will be on hand for participants to try.
