GORHAM — The Northern Forest Canoe Trail and the town of Gorham teamed up this year to enhance access to the Androscoggin River, with support from the Northern Forest Center and the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund at the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.

The Northern Forest Canoe Trail’s professional stewardship crew — which consists of a stewardship director, field coordinator and three stewardship interns — worked with local volunteers to install new infrastructure that provides safer access above and below the Gorham Dam.
