CONCORD — The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services is providing steps Granite Staters can take to protect themselves and their loved ones from severe illness due to flu and other respiratory viruses this fall and winter. Immunizations to prevent the flu, Respiratory Syncytial Virus and COVID-19 are widely available. The Department of Health and Human Services encourages New Hampshire residents to speak with their healthcare providers to determine which prevention strategies and vaccines are right for them.

“The best way for people to protect themselves against the flu and other respiratory illnesses this season is to get recommended immunizations,” said State Epidemiologist Dr. Benjamin Chan. “Staying home when you are sick and washing your hands frequently are also important measures to protect yourself and others from health risks caused by respiratory viruses.”
