BERLIN — Hillside Elementary School students in grades 3, 4 and 5 were recently awarded a $25,000 grant, from the The Children’s Literacy Foundation for Title 1 students.
The "Year of the Book" program grant provided new books to Hillside students as well as molding clay for art teacher Lynne Bacon’s students. The students made Christmas ornaments and cards.
