NORTH CONWAY—The nonprofit Mount Washington Observatory is proud to welcome Beth Phelps of Cornish, Maine to its administrative team. An integral member of the organization’s five-person advancement department, which oversees all marketing, communications, and fundraising efforts, Phelps will be serving Observatory members and donors as the new stewardship manager.
Phelps began her career in horticulture, but soon decided to utilize her love of nature to help adjudicated youth through wilderness education programs. The Massachusetts native worked for several years as a backcountry leader and program manager in Maine and New Hampshire before moving on to management positions at the Boston Natural Areas Network, Girl Scouts of Maine, and Loon Echo Land Trust.
