Many of us were introduced to transportation early in life on a tricycle, so-named because of the three wheels, one in front, two in back, allowing for stability while learning the skill of balance.

The direct-drive front-wheel “trikie” transformed pedal-pushing into mobility. Later, most of us graduated to a two-wheeler and, with the addition of a motor, true freedom was realized.
