ODELL — Camp owners on Trio Pond in Nash Stream State Forest are questioning a proposal that would significantly upgrade access to the remote pond in order to replace the aging wooden dam there with a concrete one.

The project, being developed by the N.H. Department of Environmental Service’s dam division, would replace the dams at both Lower Trio Pond and Little Bog Pond. To get concrete trucks to Trio Pond dam, the access road would undergo a major upgrade.
