BERLIN — The operators of the Burgess BioPower biomass plant are proposing a new reorganization plan for the bankrupt 75-megawatt biomass plant more than a year after the facility filed for Chapter 11.

Burgess BioPower filed for bankruptcy protection on Feb. 9, 2024 and initially pursued a “toggle” approach — simultaneously pursuing both a sales process and a stand-alone restructuring scenario. No qualifying bid was received and the debtors did not proceed with the restructuring.
