JACKSON — The Jackson Historical Society will hold a ribbon cutting Saturday at 10 a.m. for its Town Hall relocation, renovation and restoration project, with an open house from 10 a.m.-p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The society raised over $1.6 million for the move a 350 feet down Black Mountain Road from its old location, which was threatened by flooding from the Wildcat River, and a major renovation, which included making the building handicap accessible with an entry ramp, elevator and platform lift to the stage level; adding insulation and plaster walls, upgrading wiring, restoring windows and repairing the original tin ceiling.
