MILAN — The Nansen Ski Club Board is hopeful volunteers can come out and do some branch lopping and low brush clearing for the winter season. All will meet at the Route 16 site on Saturday, Oct. 24 (heavy-rain date Sunday, Oct. 25) from 9 a.m. to noon (ending sooner if there is a good turnout). We’ll meet at the hut to split into groups and give trail assignments. Please bring water, work gloves, loppers and hand saws if you’ve got them. The Club has a limited supply for people to borrow. No chainsaws, please. An article of clothing that is “blaze orange” is recommended. The goal will be to walk the freshly mowed trail system and get the low hanging branches and low growth that get in the way of the groomer, skiers, and snowshoers.

Snacks and coffee will be provided.
