WHITEFIELD — New Hampshire’s Weathervane Theatre will open its 2025 signature alternating repertory season with “The Shark is Broken” on July 3 and “Becoming Dr. Ruth” on July 6. The behind-the-scenes comedy of Hollywood’s first blockbuster and the triumphant true story of Dr. Ruth Westheimer are two of eight productions that the Weathervane Theatre will produce in alternating repertory between July 3 and Oct. 5.
Repertory is a model of making theatre in which a resident acting company rehearses during the day and performs a rotating repertoire of shows each night. Economical and efficient, it allows audiences to experience a wide variety of productions in a short period. One of the last rotating repertory theatres in America, the Weathervane will produce up to four different productions within one week at the height of its season.
