BERLIN — The current exhibit at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital Auxiliary Rotating Art Program features works of art by Berlin Public School students. It will be on display in the hospital cafeteria through Friday, Feb. 22.

The exhibit depicts the natural progression of art skills from kindergarten to high school seniors. There are over two dozen pieces in the exhibit that range from simple line drawings to incredibly detailed paintings, demonstrating many assorted mediums and techniques. One very effective collection of six pieces by the elementary school class is an interpretation of prehistoric cave or cliff art done on wrinkled brown paper. Also included in the exhibit is an outstanding sign created by the Berlin High School graphic arts students. The three Berlin School District art teachers, Roland Simard, Erin Crosby and Lynne Bacon, sponsor this display.
